About us

Solirius Consulting delivers technical consultancy and application delivery to our clients in order to solve real world problems and allow our clients to respond to an ever-changing technical landscape. We partner closely with our clients, embedding our consultants into their businesses in order to provide a bespoke service, allowing us to truly understand our clients’ needs.

It is this close collaboration with our clients that has enabled us to grow rapidly in recent years and will drive our ambitious future growth plans. We currently have over 250 consultants working with a variety of key clients from both the public and private sectors such as the Ministry of Justice, Department for Education, FCDOS, UEFA, International Olympic Committee and Mercedes Benz; with plans to increase our client base further in the near future.

The role

Within Solirius, you will be responsible for helping us to deliver an excellent service to our clients and developing the delivery management practice within the company. We want to create digital services that our clients and their customers prefer to use over other channels, and the delivery practice is fundamental to that desire.

We are looking for people who have a background in account management, critical thinking, enjoy tackling different problems in a structured way and are highly motivated self-starters.

Our consultants should have great interpersonal and communication skills and a strong desire to deliver the best possible solutions for our clients.

Our team is our strongest asset, you will be an excellent team player who recognises the strength of the team as a whole and can find their role within the Solirius team.

As an Account Manager you may be required to travel to multiple locations to meet with clients. Although most of our work is in London, candidates should be happy to travel as

client needs dictate.

About you:

Candidates should have a strong academic background and be able to demonstrate that they have the following personal skills:

  • Educated to degree level or relevant experience

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Motivated, enthusiastic and committed

  • Excellent communicators, both written and verbal, with an ability to successfully engage with team members, clients and stakeholders

  • Strong numeracy skills

  • Attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate would have the following key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for building and maintaining relationships with our clients and delivering value to them

  • Financial management of client accounts

  • Serve as key point of contact for assigned client(s)

  • Act as the Client subject matter expert

  • Develop actionable plans to balance client’s short/long term goals

  • Manage and report on overall financial success of the account (s) that you are responsible for

  • Identifying new opportunities for Solirius to operate in and contribute to bidding for new work

  • Attend client facing meetings

  • Managing the end to end process of work package creation, securing internal and client sign off, liaising with the client and account managers where necessary

  • Help develop the Delivery Practice by carrying out internal projects and taking an active role in recruitment.

Key Skills/Experience:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken word with an ability to successfully engage with clients, managers and stakeholders at all levels within a business

  • Experience of building and managing customer relationships, both corporate and public sector, at executive and senior level

  • Experience of financial reporting

  • Experience of scaled agile methodologies, e.g. SAFe, LeSS etc

  • Experience in building relationships with people and ensuring we deliver value to our clients

  • Experience in setting up scrum teams and managing the inception of new projects on client site

  • Strong Account Management experience, ideally within the IT Industry.
