  • Modern Slavery and Trafficking Policy | Solirius

Modern slavery and human trafficking policy Anti-slavery policy Solirius Consulting has a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking and is committed to upholding and respecting human rights. We recognise that the practice of modern slavery takes varying forms including servitude, forced labour, child labour, human trafficking, and any and all forms of the deprivation of one’s liberty by another for personal or commercial gain. We pledge to act ethically and with integrity in all our business dealings and supply chain relationships, and never to knowingly use products or services derived in any part from the practice of modern slavery in any of its forms. The following statement outlines the steps we have taken to ensure that slavery and human trafficking are not operating directly within our businesses or indirectly within our global supply chain. Our supply chain Our supply chains consist of the sourcing of technology consultants, provision of IT products and office stationery. Risk assessment In our assessment, as Solirius Consulting operates primarily in the UK and is staffed by directly employed or regularly contracted staff of Solirius’ trusted network, the company is at a low risk of modern slavery issues. Solirius Consulting undertakes full Baseline Personnel Security Standard checks through Verifi, on all permanent employees and contractors. These checks include flagging non-UK based references and Applicants, right to work in the UK, a three year employment or student reference verification and a basic Disclosure and Barring Service check. Policy statement Solirius Consulting acknowledge responsibility to the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and we will ensure transparency within the organisation and with suppliers of services to the organisation. Solirius Consulting will not support or deal with any business knowingly involved in slavery or human trafficking. Endorsement The Solirius Consulting Senior Management Team will take responsibility for implementing this policy statement and its objectives and will provide adequate resources and investment to ensure that slavery and human trafficking does not take place within the organisation and within its supply chains. A copy of this policy will be accessible to all employees and contractors via our cloud platform and we will ensure that the policy is understood and communicated to all levels of the company via local management and as part of the onboarding process for new joiners. Review This policy will be reviewed annually to ensure that it is achieving its objectives and address any areas of concern and amend as appropriate on an ongoing basis. • Data and AI | Solirius

OUR SERVICES Data and AI Harnessing the power of Data and AI to achieve your goals. Today, using the power of data and AI to enhance your services and deliver value to your customers, is a must for any data driven organisation. By integrating with your existing Data Science team or deploying our own scalable team, our Data and AI consultants provide the expertise and insight needed to identify and implement opportunities, and help solve problems that you previously thought were unsolvable. WHAT THIS MEANS FOR OUR CLIENTS We start by building a rich picture of how your organisation currently gathers, stores and uses data on a day to day basis, along with your data objectives for the future. Combining this understanding with our experience of using data and AI to solve problems across both the public and private sector, we will form a holistic plan to achieve those objectives. OUR CAPABILITIES AI discovery Exploring how you work, the data you use and your data objectives, to provide recommendations on how best to leverage the data. Machine learning, AI, and data science We help curate the data and then use this to create models to train an AI, providing new and informative insights for your organisation and customers. AI driven quality assurance Using AI to shorten the time taken to create and maintain tests, making them more robust and reliable. TECHNOLOGIES Data Science Our data scientists typically use Python combined with libraries such as Plotly, Pandas, Seaborn, Matplotlib. Artificial Intelligence Our AI and ML algorithms typically rely on Scikit-learn, Keras, PyTorch, TensorFlow, NLTK or similar as well as out of the box cloud options provided by AWS/Azure. Data Engineering Our Data engineers work across multiple languages e.g. Python but rely on data pipelining technologies with tools such as Luigi, Apache Airflow in addition to Spark and scalable cloud options provided by AWS/Azure. Max Awan, Senior Python Developer Having grown up immersed in technology, I’ve witnessed first-hand how it’s transformed our daily lives. In an age where data is increasingly abundant, the ability to harness it is essential. Over my 5 years working in data and AI at Solirius I’ve trained webcams to detect emotion, applied AI to brain wave signals and, more recently, harvested data for an AI telesales team by scaling a web crawler to handle 100s of millions of urls. Working at Solirius gives me the opportunity to develop and work on challenging and interesting projects like these.
