Job description

About us

Solirius Consulting delivers technical consultancy and application delivery to our clients in order to solve real world problems and allow our clients to respond to an ever-changing technical landscape. We partner closely with our clients, embedding our consultants into their businesses in order to provide a bespoke service, allowing us to truly understand our clients’ needs.

It is this close collaboration with our clients that has enabled us to grow rapidly in recent years and will drive our ambitious future growth plans. We currently have over 250 consultants working with a variety of key clients from both the public and private sectors such as the Ministry of Justice, Department for Education, FCDOS, UEFA, International Olympic Committee and Mercedes Benz; with plans to increase our client base further in the near future.

We operate as a flat organisation and believe in trusting and supporting our team to operate independently. We pride ourselves on being specialists at what we do, making the most of our consultants’ expertise in their fields in order to provide a best-in-class service to our clients. All our consultants have the opportunity to work on a range of different projects, providing a broad range of knowledge on which to develop their careers and progress in the direction they choose.

The role

Delivery spans all stages of the digital delivery lifecycle, from strategy development to solution implementation. This role offers you the opportunity to work in high-performing teams in a range of projects, from large transformation programmes to bespoke solution development, with different clients and technology solutions. Our Delivery Consultants focus on managing clients’ projects, so that they deliver digital solutions that work as expected or exceed their expectations.

We recognise that graduates may not yet know where they want to specialise, so to help you decide your ideal pathway and give you a breadth of experience, you will have the opportunity to try different roles on different projects before honing in on your chosen specialisms. Candidates should be open to working in different locations for different clients. Although most of our work is in London, candidates should be happy to travel as client needs dictate.

Main duties:

As a Graduate Delivery Consultant, you will be:

  • Working with (and in some cases building) a delivery team, ensuring they are motivated, collaborative and work well together for better outcomes.

  • Planning and facilitating workshops, reporting on progress and identifying obstacles for the team to overcome.

  • Acting as the interface between client stakeholders and the delivery team.

  • Managing dependencies and a budget.

  • Tracking risks, issues and assumptions.

  • Assisting with internal projects and practice development to help grow the Delivery Consulting practice.

Typically, you will work on a particular project for 6-12 months before moving on to a new challenge. You will be part of a larger team, working with and learning from experienced consultants. As well as on-the-job support from our senior consultants, you will also take part in a structured training plan consisting of in-person and virtual training courses, and your ongoing training plan will be flexible to your chosen pathway.

About you:

Candidates should have a strong academic background and demonstrate a genuine interest in technology. We are looking for people who are logical, critical thinkers, who enjoy tackling different problems in a structured way without stifling creativity and innovation. Our consultants should be highly motivated self-starters, have great interpersonal and communication skills, integrity, and a strong desire to deliver the best possible results for our clients.

  • A good quality degree, or relevant professional qualification.

  • Interest and aptitude for digital technology, either via your chosen degree or other means if your degree is non-technical or scientific.

  • Excellent communication skills; with the ability to communicate with delivery teams and both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Some understanding of digital development processes.

  • An understanding or awareness of Agile methodologies and tools would be beneficial.

  • An understanding of the software development lifecycle including product lifecycle, project delivery, and broader business experience would be beneficial.

Package and benefits:

  • Competitive salary, dependent on experience

  • 25 Days Annual Leave + Bank Holidays

  • Flexibility to work from home

  • 10 days allocated development training per year

  • Generous discretionary bonus

  • Statutory & Contributory pension

  • Free gym membership

  • Annual Away days

  • Monthly company socials
